Decades in luxury hospitality across Europe's grandest houses. He has led the property since the early years and quietly defines the standard the team protects.
The team behind Whiteoceanshores
A private Mediterranean resort and casino. Opened in 1981 with six rooms and one guiding thought — the best hospitality is the kind that never needs to announce itself.
Our story in three paragraphs
In the summer of 1981, two friends — a former hotelier and a chef — purchased a stretch of shoreline and turned a private villa into a six-room inn. There was no investor deck, no marketing roadmap, and no Instagram account. There was only a notebook with two rules: serve fewer guests better than anyone else, and never settle for what is merely "industry standard".
45 years later we have 60 keys, two restaurants, a Michelin star, two private gaming salons, a full spa, and a guest book still filled by the same families returning year after year. The notebook remains. The two rules are unchanged.
The same two families who began the property still own it today. We have never sold to a chain, never franchised the name, and never opened a second location — even though we are asked often. Our answer is always the same: do one place exceptionally well.
What we believe
Hospitality without theatre
The flowers are fresh because they should be. The robe is heavy because it should be. The most important work is the work you never need to notice.
Continuity over churn
The bellman greeting you at the door has worked here longer than many suites have existed. Our head sommelier has been with us for years. We hire carefully and keep people for the long run.
Local over global
Our menu follows what the coast provides, our cellar prioritises growers within four hours of the property, and our spa products come from a chemist living forty minutes away.
Quiet by design
Adult-only, screen-free public areas, soft lighting all day, and a music programme designed to disappear into the room. Loud is easy. Calm takes discipline.
The team
Six people who guide the property every day. Their backgrounds differ; their commitment to the standard does not. Behind them stands a 280-person team across operations, food, beverage, wellness, gaming, and concierge.
Oversees food, beverage, and the guest experience. A former Relais et Chateaux board member and the source of the resort's no-rush service philosophy.
Trained at Le Cordon Bleu, with stages in some of Europe's most respected kitchens. She earned the property its Michelin recognition.
Court of Master Sommeliers-certified, curating a cellar of several thousand bottles with a special focus on old Burgundy and small-grower Champagne.
Trained in Kyoto and Marrakech, and built the spa programme around one idea: rest is a skill, not a luxury.
Years on the floors of Europe's private salons. She built ours around discretion, fair play, and a personal-host model many houses now emulate.
